
With gardening season upon us we want to remind you of the importance of proper body mechanics to keep your back healthy and happy.
Here are some tips to remember!
- Hinge from the hips, not the back
- Using long-handled tools help reduce the amount of bending and reaching.
- When lifting make sure you keep your back straight and use your legs.
- Don’t overload! Use a wheelbarrow when able and carry smaller loads of soil,mulch etc
- Always make sure you take breaks. Stand up, stretch and grab some water.
